Ad Frontier is an online auction site for selling advertising space on your website. Due to the large amount of page views that this site would have, we developed the design with the use of CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) in mind. This creates fast load times and smaller bandwidth usage which in turn creates a more satisfying experience for the surfer, while saving the owner of this site major money from hosting fees.
For the back-end, we used a combination of PHP and MYSQL to create a combined auction and advertising brokerage functionality. The system works with buyer safety as a top priority. When an auction closes, the buyer is charged for the amount of their final bid. That money is then held in an escrow account, and money is automatically given to the seller as he or she delivers the proper amount of page views or unique clicks.
